Tomakomai City Museum of Art

Tomakomai City Museum of Art was opened on November 3, 1985 as the Tomakomai City Museum to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Tomakomai. In July 2013, we established the Museum of Fine Arts, which was renewed as the Tomakomai City Museum of Art (nicknamed Amyu). Based on the basic philosophy of “a museum that conveys the nature, history, and culture of Mt. Tarumae and the Yuboku Field to the future,” we collect and exhibit materials related to natural history, antiquity, ainu, folklore and history, and art.
